Martin Roscoe returns to collaborate with The Soloists of the Oxford Philharmonic, this time with an all-British programme. Elgar's widely-admired Piano Quintet was composed at the end of the First World War and is marked by its expansive and dramatic style. Accompanying this is Frank Bridge's refined and varied single-movement piano quartet. The concert concludes with a string quartet by Bridge's most famous pupil, Benjamin Britten. It is his last completed work, written at the culmination of an incredible life in music.

Concert ends at approx 4.50pm.
