We are delighted to welcome Sue Ashtiany as a new member of the Trust.
Sue has been a Non Executive Director of Channel Four Television Corp. since July 2003 and is also a Commissioner for the Equal Opportunities Commission, a member of the Court of Oxford Brookes University, an Honorary Fellow of Harris Manchester College, Oxford, and a Trustee of the Charities Aid Foundation.
She is a leading employment lawyer and a consultant with the City firm of Nabarro LLP. Sue is ranked as a leading individual in Chambers (2007 edition), where she is cited as “standing out for her stupendous knowledge of the law” and being “very much ahead of the game” with clients praising her highly prized insightful thinking. She is also ranked in the top tier by Legal 500 (2006 edition), where clients praise her for “invaluable knowledge of our policies and culture, gained through excellent relationships with the team”; and for bringing “a wealth of experience from both the commercial and public sectors”.
Sue has recently set up her own boutique law firm, Ashtiany Associates based in Oxford, specialising in employment and equality law projects for corporates,institutions and charitable bodies, including Oxford University.Sue has been associated with the Philomusica for many years and has provided generous support and sponsorship.
