The Friends and Patrons of Oxford Philomusica provide crucial support for the work of Oxford’s professional symphony orchestra. Join a like-minded group of people and actively assist us by becoming part of the wider OP family. In return for an annual subscription you will enjoy a range of benefits:
Membership is an annual subscription (you may join the scheme in any month).
At Sheldonian concerts, there is wine and mineral water available during the 20-minute interval. Friends and Patrons may help themselves to a complimentary glass, served in the Cecil Jackson Room of the Sheldonian Theatre, while you meet members of the orchestra.
A chance to hear the orchestra live in rehearsal at the Sheldonian Theatre, on the afternoon of a concert.
Friends receive 15% discount for a single ticket per concert (Oxford Philomusica promotions only). Joint Friends can buy two discounted tickets per concert. Patrons receive 20% discount on all tickets.
A musical evening of chamber music accompanied by dinner is held once a term at an Oxford College. Starting at 7pm, the evening’s format is drinks, a musical interlude and talk about an aspect of the orchestra’s work by a member of the orchestra and then dinner followed by coffee. Additional charge.
A post-concert buffet dinner, exclusive to Friends, Patrons and sponsors, is frequently held in the beautiful surrounds of an Oxford College. Additional charge.
Please book your tickets through Oxford Philomusica’s Box Office on 020 8450 1060 and mention you are a member of the Patrons Scheme. On the day of the concert, tickets may be bought on the door when showing your membership card.
