Mozart famously told his sister that K. 450
was ‘a concerto to make the pianist sweat!’ This
virtuosic work is framed by K. 415, by turns martially heroic,
gently limpid and witty, and K. 537, the work, at once both
graceful and grand, which Mozart played at the coronation of
Emperor Leopold II.
