Concert introduced by Humphrey Burton TCHAIKOVSKY - Violin Concerto in D, Op. 35 BEETHOVEN - Symphony No 7 in A, Op. 92 |
Thomas Bowes - violin |
We are delighted to have the opportunity of visiting the newly-refurbished St Aldate’s Church, a modern state-of-the-art venue in the heart of the City, for our second concert of the season, featuring Tchaikovsky’s ebullient Violin Concerto in D and Beethoven’s ever popular Symphony in A major. |
| Please note that The Oxford Philomusica’s programme of Walton’s Violin Concerto and Elgar’s Enigma Variations announced earlier in the year will now be rescheduled due to the unexpected and sudden closure of the Sheldonian Theatre for emergency repairs. We apologise to our patrons for any inconvenience this may have caused. |
