The Soloists of Oxford Philomusica

The stunning Shulman Auditorium of The Queen’s College, where The Soloists of Oxford Philomusica are the Resident Ensemble, is the setting for a recital bookended by two of Mozart’s most charming chamber works - the capricious Oboe Quartet in F major, and his Flute Quartet No. 1, so loved for alternating sunny melodic lines and a sublime melancholia with a pure Mozartian invention. In between, Beethoven’s blissful six-movement Serenade and Holst’s first and only venture into the chamber genre, ‘Terzetto’, provide further scope for showcasing the immense talent of the Philomusica’s woodwind Principals.
